I'm such a sweetie pie even after all the trauma I've suffered. First I was abandoned by my owner, then I got hit by a car. A Good Samaritan took me in and cared for me, along with the kittens I had shortly thereafter. (That's right, not only was I hit by a car, I was also pregnant!) My babies found homes but I didn't, so I was brought to the shelter. I have a nice personality and although I can be a little shy with new people, I warm up quickly and then I'm all purrs and cuddles. I also have an adorably short tail because it was damaged by that car, so half of it had to be amputated. As far as I'm concerned, it just makes me more unique! So. . .that's my story. Don't you think that a hard luck gal like me deserves a happy ending? Some very generous young ladies put on a lemonade stand in honor of our shelter. They raised over $120 and purchased lots of supplies from our wish list. They also set aside $25 to give as a sponsorship for one of the animals, and picked Polly as the recipient. Because of their donation, Polly's adoption fee will now be reduced to only $55!
